Oh Valentine's Day!
The day that reminds every girl that she's single and that while all these couples are out on dates, she's at home eating ice-cream in front of the tv with no pants on. A reminder that she's STILL single and  #foreveralone...WRONG!! Being single on Valentine's Day doesn't have to feel like the end of the world. Trust me, I understand hating Valentine's Day (not a fan) and wishing you had someone to spend it with but we can still have a great day regardless of our situations.

It's so easy to get wrapped up in the idea of how we think Valentine's Day is supposed to be. A guy picks you up, brings you chocolate and flowers, you spend the day together followed by a nice dinner. That's cool and all but who says you need a guy to do all this?! My best-friend Molly and I turn Valentine's Day into GALentine's Day! We do everything from brunch (can't go wrong!), shopping, exchanging gifts and going to dinner. (Links to favorite spots in Atl below) We embrace being single and do all the things we love!

Although being single can be lonely sometimes the big picture is focusing on yourself and your happiness. That's one thing I can't stress enough! Take this time to really figure out who you are as a person on your own. Try new things. Travel. Start a blog! (that's what I did). Be stingy with your time! Do all the things that make you happy. Be content on your own, be independent and NEVER rely on someone else for your happiness.  When we do, we lose sight of who we are as a person and engulf ourselves into the happiness of someone else.

So to all my fellow single ladies, go "Treat Yo Self!"
