JACKET: Sold out (similar here & here) // DRESS: Ross (similar style here, here & here) // SHOES: Target // BRACELETS: Amazon (here & here) // PURSE: Old (similar here & here)

Most Saturdays consist of me just lounging around the house, catching up on school work and laundry. Today was a little different. My mom, sister and I were going to the Fox Theatre to see the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater perform! This was a late Christmas gift to my mom from my sister and I. The previous weekend the company held a workshop called the Ailey Experience where you get the opportunity to work with a choreographer from the show as well as some of the dancers. My mom participated in this and LOVED it! (She's a dancer if you didn't catch that! lol)

The show was at the beautiful Fox Theatre in Atlanta. This was my moms first time at that venue. We paid for parking beforehand when buying our tickets so we were very fortunate to be right across the street. As you could imagine the place was packed! The show was completely sold out! Inside we easily found our seats and the show began. It was AMAZING!! The entire show was spectacular from start to finish. During the intermission we found our way to the merchandise table to grab my mom some goodies (t-shirts, bag, leggings) to commemorate the evening. When the show ended, it kept you wanting more. The emotions, messages throughout each piece and song was beautiful. My mom really enjoyed herself and I hope we can go again next year!

My mom almost never goes to the city so dinner afterwards was a must. We went to the Hard Rock Cafe and the food was awesome. It was super packed, as there were other big events going on in the city that night but to avoid a 45 minute wait, we opted to sit at the bar. The staff was super nice and really made sure you always had what you needed. Needless to say it was a great day!

OUTFIT
I wanted to wear something really cute but still comfortable. This dress was perfect! The fabric was really soft and the cut of it is so flattering! Can you believe I got it for $10 at Ross?! I got it in black too! I've linked some similar versions since Ross is like finding a needle in a haystack. The shoes paired really nicely with the dress. I normally don't do too much matchy match with my dress and shoes, but I made an exception and so glad I did. (The shoes are sale for 25% off!!!) My big fuzzy coat was great since it kept me warm and as the day went on it cooled down more and I could easily take it off and carry it. All my jewelry is linked as well as similar items for everything I'm wearing!
