Back to Basics: T-Shirt Dress & Utility Jacket

Happy Thursday!

I hope you had a great Fourth of July. I enjoyed having the day off and spending time with my family.   We ended the night watching fireworks in our neighborhood and it was such a good time. I started a mini series called, "Back to Basics" where I show you how to style the basics that almost everyone has lying around in their closet. My first post was all about Graphic Tee's which you can find here. Today I wanted to share one of the best staples that I think every women should have and that is a t-shirt dress. T-shirt dresses are perfect to just throw on and go and can be dressed up or dressed down depending on the occasion. If you know me you know that I love stripes, they have become a neutral for me in my wardrobe so this striped dress has been on rotation for me. I love how stretchy the fabric is and that's it's not super thin. I threw my favorite army green utility jacket around my waist for style purposes. Everyone needs a great utility jacket as a staple in their closet. I honestly reach for this jacket more than any other jacket in my closet. This piece is so versatile and you'll find more ways than one to wear it. When the weather starts to cool down I tend to throw this on with leggings a graphic tee and either loafers or boots. It's an easy outfit and I have that extra layer for warmth. I finished my look with my Adidas Superstars for comfort and my new sunglasses from ShopHopes. I've linked other styles that I like and have below that give the same look. Sunglasses are the sprinkles on all of my outfits. They make me feel a lot cooler than I really am! LOL. I love how they can transform and entire look and make you look like a Bada**! lol
