It's so crazy to think that another year has passed and today is my 28th birthday!! I'm so thankful for where I am today and am so thankful to all of you who have reached out to say happy birthday. Every birthday I like to reflect on things from the year prior and share some of those things with you all. I did a post like this two years ago and thought I would do an update version of "27 things I've learned!" Here we go:

1. You may think that everyone has their s**t together but they're probably going through the same struggles as you!

2. Don't apologize for being yourself.

3. Laughter truly is the best medicine.

4. You'll appreciate all the times you didn't feel like going to the gym but got your butt up and went anyways.

5. Be thankful for all the hard moments because it makes the better ones that much sweeter.

6. Don't be so quick to judge someone, you never know what someone might be going through.

7. When your timeline is different than other peoples, that's no reason to be sad, it's an opportunity to focus your time and energy on the things that you do have.

8. It is completely okay to say "No."

9. "When you get an apology, you should give an apology. You should take someone's humbling moment to reflect on yourself and how you've been imperfect because we're all not perfect and see where you can take responsibility."

10. You can't control what someone's perception of you is, all you can do is be yourself and know your truth.

11. "Being busy isn't cute"

12. Do NOT let people use your age against you; being older does not equal smarter and wiser.

13. It is totally acceptable to go to bed before 9pm on a Friday night.

14. In those hard moments, think back to when you wanted what you have now and appreciate the progress you've made.

15. Find your "SQUAD"

16. There are people rooting you on that you may not have known about.

17. Change: If we're not changing, we're not growing or evolving.

18. Your health is your most valuable asset.

19. There is no shame in not knowing.

20. Be flexible with your goals.

21. Constantly push yourself out of your comfort zone.

22. Appreciate the joy of missing out.

23. If there's the option, take the stairs.

24. Your failures can sometimes teach you more than your successes.

25. Balance and moderation are key!

26. Forgiveness is a gift you give to yourself.

27. The more you express your gratitude, the more things you will have to be grateful for!

I'm so excited to see what this next year brings and what amazing things God has planned for me. I know no matter the good or bad, it's going to add to my story!
