 DRESS: Express (old) // SHOES: ShoeDazzle // EARRINGS: Express

I can't believe this little blog is two years old. When I think back to when I first started this, I never thought anyone would read it, besides my close friends and family. I'm such in awe at all of you who choose to take the time to read this little blog of mine and show your constant support. I don't know what's in store for 2019 for my little corner of the internet, but I'm excited to take you guys along. In my two years of blogging I learned A LOT about myself, other people and this business. Now I'm not saying by no means do I know EVERYTHING that's going on but I've gotten a chance to learn some things and come to some realizations. I wanted to share some of those with you:

*This community is large but VERY small*
You will see there are so many people who are bloggers and working their butts off but when you step back and look at the blogging world, you realize it is also VERY small. You see a lot of the same faces on the same campaigns and brands choosing the same girls. My hope is that in 2019 we see a lot more diversity and a variety of different women representing these brands.

*Find your support group*
This is one that I've come to build up over the last couple of months in 2018. I have a group of girls that constantly have my back, engage with me and just uplift me while I do the same for them. We talk about blogging questions, life questions, relationship problems...you name it. To have someone in your corner is amazing and what better than to support and uplift another woman!

*BE YOURSELF!*
This is something I mentioned in my interview with VoyageATL here! This community can make you second guess who you are as a person and have you comparing yourself to the next girl. There's only one you and that's what makes you unique. Find those things about yourself that set you apart and makes you stand out. People are going to like you for who you are when you're being your authentic self! "Comparison is the thief of all joy" so don't compare yourself to what you see online; it's just a highlight reel!

Aside from all the things that I've learned above, I have some goals this year for my little blog/Instagram and I want to share a few of them with you.

* Consistently posting content here
* Sharing more personal content
* Provide a bigger variety of outfits for the average woman
* Post more everyday iPhone photos
* Share more about of my everyday on Instagram stories
* Post more of what YOU guys ask me to share

I'm so thankful for all of you who take the time to read my blog. I can't wait to see what exciting things happen for "The Savvy Singer" and I can't wait to share these things with you!

xo,
Chaneya
