One of my favorite things about leaving Winter behind is the transition into Spring. Spring has become my favorite season for a multitude of reasons. I love that weather gets warm but it’s not super-hot to the point where everyone is avoiding going outside. Springs brings back outdoor eating which means more trips to restaurants for Theo and the sun stays shining most of the day which is something I need for my happiness. One of the main reasons I love Spring is all of the clothing that make great transitional pieces that can be worn all season long. As much as I love prints and patterns, and you will definitely see those things from me, nothing beats those closet staples: classic pieces that you’re able to wear more than once and can be styled in so many ways that you truly get your money worth.
I put together this outfit to show you what a work version of a fall transitional look is for me. I’ve been more into jeans lately and if you ask anyone who knows me in my everyday life they would tell you I’m not one to reach for jeans. I’m definitely more of a shorts person and have always been that way since I was a kid but am loving the different styles of denim that’s currently out. These jeans are from Jules & James Boutique and they are called the “Evie” jeans. I love the lighter wash, which I never thought I would say as I’ve been a dark denim for life gal! lol. These fit so great and I love that they’re not super tight and hit right at the ankle which is a great length. I paired these with this simple mauve long sleeve from Target. This long sleeve isn’t super thick and can easily be worn under any jacket since it’s light weight. It comes in several colors and only $10 which you can’t beat! I shared this white blazer on my Instagram last week and it was very popular. A crisp white blazer is a great closet essential; it can be worn year round…yes, year round (winter white) and it looks great in the Spring and Summer. This particular blazer is from Boohoo but I’ve linked some from Express that are also really great quality. My FAVORITE part of this look has to be these low heeled sandals by Marc Fisher from DSW! I love that they’re a nude color and the low heel allows you to wear them all day without your feet hurting or feeling like you have to pack an extra pair of shoes. These come in three other colors/prints and I feel like I need them all. I have some more cute Spring shoe finds coming your way but I couldn’t wait to share these with you guys. They’re only $60 and you can’t go wrong with a Marc Fisher shoe! I would love to know what you're favorite part of this outfit was in the comments below or on tonights Instagram post!
